AOC H – Power Plant

This site operated from 1941 to 1943 as a power plant. From approximately the 1960s to the1980s, the building was reportedly used for Fire Fighter training.  Fire-fighting activities reportedly consisted of placing diesel fuel on tires and igniting the tires inside the building. Diesel fuel was stored in a 2,000- to 3,000-gallon above ground storage tank (AST) located on the western side of the power plant building.
