COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT HISTORY - RAB
St. Juliens Creek Annex (SJCA) has conducted a proactive community relations program throughout the IRP and CERCLA process. A Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) is an advisory board made up of community members, local environmental group members, and local state and federal officials. The RAB at SJCA was initially formed in 1999 and has been an integral part of the community relations program since its inception. Currently, there are about 20 members of the RAB and the board meets on a regular basis, usually every 6 months, to allow concerned citizens to communicate and interact with the Navy on IR activities. At each meeting members are given updates, briefings and/or technical presentations on the status of the IR sites with ongoing work.
