Navy/Marine Corps Links

Cherry Point MCAS Public Health Report.  Includes a summary, background information, and evaluation of contamination and exposure at Cherry Point.

NADEP at Cherry Point. National Aviation Depot site contains information specific to Cherry Point as well as more general information about the NADEP.

Naval Facilities Engineering Services Center.  NAVFAC's Navy-wide technical center, delivering quality products and services in the following areas: Shore, Ocean, and Waterfront Facilities, Energy and Utilities, Environmental, and Amphibious and Expeditionary Systems.

USMC at Cherry Point, North Carolina. Site containing general information about Cherry Point, including history, tour info., and general info. about this Marine Corps Base.

U.S. Navy Environmental Program. News articles including pollution prevention, recycling, and climate (greenhouse gas reduction). Links to Navy programs and environmental directives and the Department of the Navy home page.

U.S. Navy Cleanup Policy Memos. An overview of the Navy's cleanup program; Environmental Policy Memos on cleanup under BRAC and under the regular Navy cleanup program.

Naval Studies Board.  The NSB is one of the three naval advisory committees. The membership of the Naval Studies Board includes approximately 25 senior scientists and engineers who serve both an oversight role and participate, usually in leadership positions, in the Board's studies. Studies focus on the need of both the Navy and Marine Corps.

United States Marine Corps.  The US Marine Corps home page, containing information for Marines, opportunities in the Marine Corps, and links to other Marine sites.

Regulatory Agencies

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. (EPA Home page.) EPA offices, projects and programs; environmental information concerning the EPA's regulations and legislation; publications and data; assistance, compliance & pollution prevention information for businesses; and more.

Department of Defense Environmental Resources. A growing list pointing users to all Internet sites related to the environmental activities of the Department of Defense.

National Toxicology Program (NTP) Testing Information and Study Results. Search for status of individual test agents being studied by the NTP. Abstracts of studies on toxicity, carcinogenicity, immunotoxicity, reproductive and development effects.

EPA-ATSDR's Site. The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) site contains information about hazardous chemicals, exposures, and levels of exposure.

The EPA's Superfund Site. This page is a link off of the EPA home page, and contains both general (what is superfund?) and specific (what sites are cleaned up and how?) information about Superfund.

The EPA's Hazardous Waste Information Site. This page is a link off of the EPA home page, and has links and information regarding waste (where sites are, what wastes are present, etc... RCRIS is a national program management and inventory system of RCRA waste handlers.

North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The lead stewardship agency for the preservation and protection of North Carolina's outstanding natural resources. Get data, statistics, reports and maps. Learn about Environmental Education, Permits, Rules, Policies and Regulations and more on this very informative site.

Community Involvement - Restoration Advisory Boards (RABs).  RAB Resource Book, Directory of RABs, Technical Assistance for Public Participation rule, RAB Rules, DOD policy on the role of RABs in Defense environmental restoration activities. Links to other pages containing BRAC policy documents, Small Business help, and related topics.

Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) - Chemical Fact Sheets. Search for fact sheets that answer the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) about hazardous substances and their health effects.

Envirolink. "The online environmental community", Envirolink unites hundreds of organizations and volunteers around the world. They provide many up-to-date environmental resources. It is one of the worlds largest environmental information clearinghouses.

Environmental Organization WebDirectory!. "Earth's biggest environment search engine", this site has a clear layout with all environmental categories broken down into over 2 dozen categories. If the information is out there, this site will link you to it!
